Italy's National Unity Day and Armed Forces Day were commemorated in Malta with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Kalkara Military Cemetery.
The ceremony honoured soldiers who lost their lives defending their homeland during World War I, marking the anniversary of the war's end.
Italian Ambassador to Malta Valentina Setta and Armed Forces of Malta representative Lieutenant Colonel Keith Mizzi laid wreaths, followed by a minute of silence and the sounding of Reveille.
The Armed Forces of Malta shared details of the ceremony in a Facebook post.
