Lorin Scicluna Sentenced To Eight Years In Prison

Former soldier Lorin Scicluna has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being found guilty of grievously injuring May Malimi in a hit-and-run incident described by prosecutors as racially motivated.
The sentence was handed down by Judge Natasha Galea Sciberras following a jury trial linked to the 2019 killing of Lassana Cisse, Times of Malta reported.
On Sunday, the jury acquitted Scicluna of Cisse's murder and the attempted murders of Mohammed Jallow, Ibrahim Bah and May Malimi.
However, he was found guilty by a six-to-three verdict of causing grievous bodily harm to Malimi in the February 2019 hit-and-run. He was also unanimously found guilty of using a vehicle without registration plates.
