A French nun who is believed to be the second-oldest person in the world at age 116 has survived COVID-19 and will celebrate her 117th birthday on Thursday.

Sister André tested positive for COVID-19 in mid-January in Toulon but just three weeks later, reports have emerged that she has recovered.

The sister, who is blind and a wheelchair user stated that she didn’t even realise she had it and did not worry when she tested positive, but she was very concerned about her fellow residents.
