Woman Riding Passenger On Motorcycle At Risk Of Dying

Early this morning, at around 0430hrs, police were informed of a traffic accident in Triq San Anard, Ħal Tarxien.
Police convened on site and preliminary investigations showed that a 40 year old man resident of Ħal Tarxien lost control of his motorcycle and toppled over.
Riding passenger on the motorcycle was a 33 year old Latvian woman resident of Marsaskala.
A medical team was called on site and transported both of them to Materi Dei Hospital. The man was confirmed to have suffered grievous injuries and the woman was confirmed to have suffered serious injuries.
An inquiry has been opened and investigations are ongoing.
