Shrek 5? Original cast could return for fifth Shrek sequel

Shrek 5? Original cast could return for fifth Shrek sequel
Apr 5 2023 Share

It’s been 13 years since the fourth instalment of the Shrek franchise was released – and now, the original cast are in talks to return to bring back all the beloved characters.

In an interview with Variety, founder and CEO of Illumination Chris Meledandri said that, although no one has yet signed on, talks are currently underway with Mike Meyers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy (voices of Shrek, Fiona and Donkey respectively) for a fifth movie.

Illumination has been working as a creative partner with Dreamworks on The Super Mario Bros Movie, and have used this opportunity to tease another Shrek adventure.

This comes after Puss In Boots: The Last Wish being so well received by critics and audiences, which also teased the return of the big green ogre and his family and friends.

And Meledandri has reason to be optimistic too as Eddie Murphy also exclaimed how he would jump on it ‘in two seconds’ if a Shrek sequel were to be announced. He also wondered why there never was a movie based around Donkey, given his hilarious character.

Book Depository is closing down on April 26th

Apr 4 2023 Share

This popular UK-based online retailer, which provided free shipping to 160 countries and offered a vast selection of books, will be shutting down at the end of April.

Founded in 2004, the company quickly gained popularity among bookworms for its extensive collection of titles and competitive prices.

In 2011, Book Depository was acquired by Amazon, which allowed the company to expand its reach even further.

Despite its success, Book Depository announced its closure in a social media post, providing booksellers with a chance to reinvigorate their businesses.

While some loyal customers express disappointment, others are excited about the opportunities presented by the closure.

Customers can place orders until midday on April 26, and purchases will continue to be delivered until June 23.

Although the company’s legacy will come to an end, Book Depository’s contribution to the world of literature will be remembered by its loyal customers for years to come.
