WATCH: Man standing on roof of moving bus raises safety concerns

Recently-surfaced footage showing a man standing up on a moving bus has raised national concern, both for the safety of the man on the bus as well as drivers and pedestrians in the whereabouts.

The footage, published by local Facebook page ‘Malta Dizastru Totali’ shows the bus passing through Marsa with the man initially sitting down before standing up and attempting to balance on the moving bus’s roof.

The video has since garnered over 20,000 comments, with many concerned at the lack of safety and enforcement of such an act.

During Apple’s most recent launch event, the tech giant announced that its Apple Watch Series 8 has a number of brand new features which will definitely appeal to users.

COO Jeff Williams explained that the Series 8 estimates when the user has ovulated, ultimately helping wearers track their menstrual cycle. The watch also tracks body temperature, aiding users in the monitoring of their health by showing details in Apple’s ‘Health’ app.

The watch’s sensors will allow users to monitor menstrual cycles, know if they have jet lag, detect car accidents and even automatically call emergency services, amongst other features.

The watch’s starting price is reported to cost $399, with the Apple Watch Series 8 being available from 16 September onwards.

Widespread praise as Peppa Pig introduces show’s first ever same-sex couple

Children’s television programme Peppa Pig has received a fair amount of praise after introducing its first-ever same-sex couple.

Running since 2004, Peppa Pig has become a cultural phenomenon for its appeal towards children & families. The series follows protagonist Peppa and a host of beloved cast & crew and now, viewers have been throwing praise at the show for the introduction of a same-sex couple.

The couple was introduced when character Penny Polar Bear was talking about her family & drew a sketch of two female polar bears before being shown on screen later in the episode. “I’m Penny Polar Bear. I live with my mummy and my other mummy”, the characters says. “One mummy is a doctor and one mummy cooks spaghetti. I love spaghetti.”
