WATCH: Strong northerly winds & harsh weather conditions to decrease on Tuesday

Malta has experienced a string of harsh weather conditions and strong winds over the past few days, flooding many local streets and forcing the cancellation of multiple ferry trips, amongst other issues.
Reports have shown that such conditions were expected to continue on Tuesday morning and ease off later today. Footage sent to Malta Daily shows massive waves covering a number of Gozo promenades whilst elsewhere, a number of trees were uprooted as a result of the gale force winds.
The meteorological office reports that the Force 7 wind persisting today is expected to gradually decrease to Force 5 this morning and from Force 3 to 4 b y the evening.
