An Argentinian football fan who went topless during the World Cup final has reportedly escaped without any punishment from Qatar after concerns were raised abut her wellbeing.

Public nudity is criminalised in Qatar, leading to fans raising concerns as to her safety.

Non-Qatari women were not required to wear the traditional abaya robe when attending the tournament. However, people travelling around the Gulf State were banned from wearing tight clothing and had to have their shoulders and knees covered at all times.

It remains to be confirmed what the woman’s current status is but this latest update eases the concerns of many after the footage of the woman going topless surfaced.
