The actor wilfully embraced the gifts, with people throwing love notes into the car among other objects. One even seemed to hand him an entire suitcase.

The same could not be said for Amber Heard however as the vehicle carrying the actress simply drove off without any fan interaction.

Charles Leclerc who started the race in pole position lost top position to Max Verstappen in the 7th lap but gradually kept up with the Dutchman until he found some pace in the closing stages of the races. Unfortunately for the Ferrari driver his late surge wasn’t enough to see him win another race this season.

The final podium position of the race was secured by Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz whilst the Mercedes duo of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton managed to finish in 5th and 6th respectively.

The race itself wasn’t the most entertaining according to fans until Lando Norris’s crash with Pierre Gasly that forced a yellow flag before the last few laps of the race. Both drivers had to retire from the race while other drivers such as Fernando Alonso were given 5 second penalties for illegally overtaking Gasly before his retirement. There was also another late collision between German friends Mick Schumacher and Sebastien Vettel.

PN MP Darren Carabott pays tribute to parents on day of swearing in

May 8 2022 Share

While some Maltese MPs chose to walk the streets of Valletta with their partners, others opted to take their parents to celebrate an important day in their political lives.

Nationalist MP Darren Carabott stated that his parents were always there for him and it was the least he could to to let them know how grateful he is for what they did with him and his brother.

Carabott stated that his only regret was that he could only invite one guest to attend the mass at St. John’s Co-Cathedral and the state opening of Parliament, presumably due to a logistical issue. Regardless of this, Carabott’s father joined in on the event, enthusiastically waiting for the MP and his mother as they walked the streets.

Carabott wholeheartedly dedicated that important day in his political career to his parents, stating that he is what he is thanks to their sacrifices and upbringing.

“It was just a small way of saying thank you, even if I’ll always fall short of doing so.”
