Many took to social media to address the situation, calling for governmental action in regards to health restrictions. People, including CEO of Hugo’s Group Malta Luke Chetcuti, highlighted how given these regulations, people still met outside regulated bars and businesses where regulations are not necessarily going to be adhered to.

The news follows updates to reopening the entertainments sector, with the proposed roadmap eliciting quite a lot of criticism. Many are still calling to manage the situation better, as illegal gatherings are being increasingly reported.
