Warnings Of Dangerous Seas & Strong Waves Issued

Beachgoers are being strongly advised to stay out of the sea today due to hazardous conditions across the Mediterranean.

Authorities from the Emergency Response Rescue Corps have confirmed that most beaches are displaying double red flags, signalling a complete ban on swimming.

According to meteorological reports, wave heights are expected to reach up to two metres by this afternoon. These severe sea conditions, combined with strong currents, present a serious danger to the public, including experienced swimmers.

Coastal safety officials have urged anyone heading to the beach to take extra precautions.

The public is advised to stay out of the water entirely, keep children well away from the shoreline, and pay close attention to any warning signs or safety instructions on site. Lifeguards are on duty and should be obeyed at all times.
