Warnings Issued Due To Dangerous Sea Conditions

The Emergency Response Rescue Corps shared a video of the sea around Gozo yesterday as red flag warnings were issued to swimmers.
Red Flags had been raised in Marsalforn and Double Red Flags had been raised at Ramla Bay and Blue Lagoon (Comino).
‘This means NO SWIMMING is allowed in these areas due to strong currents, rough seas, and high risk of drowning’, explained the rescue corps.
Meanwhile, Malta Red Cross announced that Għajn Tuffieħa and Golden Bay were closed due to the dangerous sea conditions.
They also said that a record number of rescues were recorded, urging swimmers to stay vigilant and avoid dangerous waters in such weather.
