The parish of Ħamrun will mark a significant moment in its history.

The titular statue of St. Cajetan is set to depart from Malta, bound for Rome, where it will take part in a historic pilgrimage.

This event celebrates the 500th anniversary of the founding of the Theatine Order, established by St. Cajetan himself.

The statue was carefully removed from the church and prepared for its journey to Rome. Efforts are currently focused on ensuring that the statue of St. Cajetan is securely packed and ready for its trip.

On September 14th, a special commemoration will be held in Rome to honor the anniversary of St. Cajetan’s founding of the Theatine Order.
