Valletta Cultural Agency announce Valletta Green Festival 2021

The Valletta Cultural Agency have announced that from Friday 7th of May 2021 to Tuesday 11th, the capital city of Malta, Valletta, will be transformed into a green paradise. A temporary garden will be installed in Freedom Square in front of the Parliamentary Building, with trees along Republic Street and the biggest infiorata ever installed in Malta along St George’s Square.

Potted trees will also be installed Pjazza de Vallette. But that’s not all as St George’s Square will also see tents by parks and a beehive installation by ERA. Those entering Valletta this morning were already welcomed with a beautiful and colourful garden as the festival gears up for its start next Friday.

PN leader Bernard Grech receives COVID-19 vaccine

Nationalist Party leader Bernard Grech has received the first dose of the COVID-19 dose on Sunday, with Prime Minister Robert Abela expected to receive the jab later today. Grech was among the 40+ group who could apply for the vaccine as of April 23. Grech urged everyone who receives their invitation to receive the vaccine to do so in order to keep battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

Health Minister Chris Fearne has stated on Saturday that over-30s can sign up for the jab starting Tuesday. As of yesterday, 339,727 doses of the COVID-19 were administered, with 108,216 of these being second doses. It was also announced that around 2/3 of people in their 50s received at least one shot by Thursday, with around 94% of over-60s having been vaccinated with at least one dose.

Maltese Inter fans celebrate 19th league win with carcades

After Inter Milan conquered the first Serie A title in 11 years on Sunday, Maltese fans of the football team took to the streets of Malta to celebrate the win.

The fans sounded their horns and waved their flags in support and glee as they celebrated the victory – making not only an exciting display of admiration for their favourite club but also a COVID-19 safe celebration.

Inter have thus overtaken AC Milan, who have 18 Series A titles, becoming the second most successful club in league history behind Juventus.

Fans are loving Billie Eilish’s new stunning Lingerie cover shoot

Billie Eilish’s latest magazine cover shoot has taken social media by storm, revealing also a new tattoo never seen before over her abdomen and leg. One of Eilish’s own Instagram posts she stated ‘I love these pictures and I loved doing this shoot. Do whatever you want whenever you want.’ Eilish rocks a satin pink corset and see through skirt by Gucci, lacy bra and latex gloves.

The photoshoot was led by Vogue style director Dena Giannini, and was a significant departure from the 19-year-old’s pop star’s usual baggy fashion style. It was revealed that Eilish herself approached Vogue with the idea of transforming her image by embracing a ‘classic, old-timey pin up’. This transformation comes just in time for new album launch on July 30th called ‘Happier Than Ever.’
