Ulied ix-Xefaq: Malta’s Captivating TV Series Blending Nature, Culture, and Exploration

Ulied ix-Xefaq is a fresh Maltese television series that brings together exploration, culture, and nature in a visually stunning format. The show follows naturalist Arnold Sciberras and singer-presenter Stephanie Chircop as they journey through Malta’s most intriguing landscapes, with botanist Jeffrey Sciberras providing insight into the local flora along the way.

The series is known for its striking aesthetics, featuring underground environments described as “darkness and oblivion of underground systems,” sweeping grassy hills, rocky outcrops, and landscapes that feel both familiar and otherworldly.

The first season premiered on 4 January 2025 at 8:30 pm on Net TV and quickly became a hit. Spanning nine episodes, each running approximately 59 to 66 minutes, the series aired from January to March 2025. All episodes are now available to stream on YouTube and the official programme page here, as well as on NET On Demand.

Following the success of the first season, production for Season 2 is already underway. The new season is set to premiere on 4 October 2025 on Net TV, promising more breathtaking locations and in-depth explorations for viewers.
