Tyler, The Creator has officially announced that his highly anticipated seventh studio album, CHROMAKOPIA, will be released on October 28. This news comes over a year after the deluxe version of his last project, Call Me If You Get Lost, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and won a Grammy for Best Rap Album. Fans have been eagerly awaiting his next move, and now, Tyler has finally delivered.
The announcement was hinted at on October 16, when Tyler dropped a cryptic video titled “ST. CHROMA.” In the video, he walks through a desert wearing a face mask, as eerie music plays in the background. The video ends with the word CHROMAKOPIA displayed against a green backdrop, sparking a frenzy of theories online. One user, Bobby Foster, speculated that the album will explore themes of inner freedom and self-discovery, based on lyrics from the snippet.
Adding to the excitement, artist Daniel Caesar confirmed his collaboration on the album, while ScHoolboy Q publicly showed support. Tyler’s decision to release the album on a Monday, breaking the industry norm of Friday drops, has only added to the anticipation.
CHROMAKOPIA is now available for pre-sale, and fans can pre-order exclusive merch bundles through the album’s official site.
