The car does seem to stop at one point, possibly to reverse the vehicle and drive in the correct direction. The identity of the driver is currently unknown but so far, no one seems to have gotten injured from the incident.

It was also unclear as to why the car was driving on the wrong lane towards incoming traffic, but many suspect that the driver was confused when entering the lane.

It’s a big day for Maltese skill and talent as Nick Mizzi has managed to land a job in event strategy, promotion and management for Defected and Glitterbox events. Apart from being immensely skilled at what he does, Mizzi revealed to this newsroom that he met director of events at Defected George Pritchard back in 2019 at the Snowbombing Festival. The two stayed in contact and had a chat about his involvement in the music industry, of which Mizzi is a connoisseur.

He was promptly invited to meet the team last weekend at their own festival in London, and was offered a role with the company as leading the events promotion and marketing team. With Defected being one of the biggest house music brands in the world, Mizzi will be hosting weeklies in Ibiza over the summer as well as managing everything from tour managing, announcement schedules, venue research, event marketing and a whole host of other roles. Best of luck on your venture Nick!

Glen Farrugia is not a registered member or contractor says MDA

Glen Farrugia is not a registered member or contractor says MDA
Sep 29 2021 Share

Following the incident of a migrant worker being left on a Mellieha pavement after falling two storeys by his boss, the Malta Developers’ Association (MDA) revealed that Glen Farrugia, who was interviewed by police, is not a member and not a registered contractor. Mr Farrugia is a a director and one of the two shareholders of J&G Farrugia Contractors, and was approached by authorities in connection with the incident.

The MDA disassociated itself from the contractor, who was supposedly managing the construction site where the incident occurred. The worker, a 32-year-old from Ghana, was discovered and in pain on a Salmon pavement. He alleged that his boss promised him to take him to a hospital but instead left him on the pavement and left him there. MDA director-general Dr Deborah Schembri stated that she could confirm that the contractor of the site is not and never was a member of her association. He had also allegedly not registered as a contractor when an exercise was carried out to list the contractors operating on the island.
