Two Men Arrested In Paceville For Intending To Sell Drugs

Two men were arrested overnight in Paceville after being found in possession of different types of drugs, allegedly intended for trafficking.
During routine patrols in the area, police noticed a man acting suspiciously. As they approached and attempted to search a bag he was carrying, the man tried to flee but was quickly apprehended. He reacted aggressively during the arrest, injuring two police officers, who suffered minor injuries.
The man, a 32-year-old Jamaican national, was found in possession of eight sachets of suspected cocaine and 20 sachets containing what is believed to be cannabis.
Shortly after, during continued patrols, police stopped another man who was also behaving suspiciously. A search revealed six sachets of suspected cannabis and a significant amount of cash. The man, a 50-year-old Eritrean national, was arrested on the spot.
Both men are being held in custody and are expected to be charged in court in the coming days.
