Two Men Arrested For Drug Trafficking In Gozo

Two Libyan men have been arrested after an investigation related to drug trafficking in Gozo.
In the past hours, police followed the men, aged 36 and 35 respectively, and were allegedly observed passing on packages to other individuals.
They were arrested in a residence in Triq il-Wied, Marsalforn, in the limits of Żebbuġ, Gozo.
A search yielded several packets filled with white substance, suspected to be cocaine, with a value of around €5,000.
Around €4,000 in cash were also confiscated, along with other drug trafficking related items.
The men are being held in custody and are set to be arraigned in court in the coming days.
An inquiry has been opened and investigations are ongoing.
