Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, announced plans for an interview with Tesla founder Elon Musk on Monday, August 12.
Trump revealed this on his Truth Social platform, emphasizing that more details about the interview will be shared later. Musk, who now owns X (formerly Twitter), has not yet commented on the upcoming discussion.
Trump’s X account was reinstated after Musk’s acquisition of the platform, following a ban in January 2021 during Trump’s final days as president.
The interview aligns with Trump’s ongoing campaign efforts as he seeks to return to the White House, running against Vice President Kamala Harris, who recently selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
Prior to this announcement, Trump appeared in a 22-minute interview with video game streamer Adin Ross, who gifted Trump a Rolex watch and a Cybertruck featuring an image from a recent assassination attempt.
Musk has recently endorsed Trump, sharing his support after an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Despite his previous votes for Democratic candidates, including Joe Biden, Musk has expressed dissatisfaction with recent Democratic policies.
However, earlier this year, Musk clarified that he would not financially support either Trump or Biden’s campaigns.
