After her body was repatriated back to Turkey following the horrific accident which took her life in Malta, Pelin Kaya was laid to rest back home amongst her loved ones. 

The Turkish media reported the scenes, quoting her father describing his last meeting with his daughter. He told media how the last time he said goodbye to Kaya was at the airport and how he had told her ‘goodbye’ 10 to 15 different times.

Turkish media described the killer, Jeremie Camilleri, as a ‘psychopathic killer’, and outlining of many paid tribute to the late Pelin in a vigil in Gżira. 

Other news rooms shared what could have possibly been Kaya’s last photograph with her friends before she was killed on her 30th birthday. Pelin worked as an interior designer, with her friend Gamze Gökçe sharing the photo they took an hour before her death on her social media account.

If you planned on purchasing tickets to Robbie Williams’ concert in Malta on August 24th, you might want to think ahead because there are already waiting lists of over 10,000 people less than one hour since tickets went live.

Williams’ concert in Malta at the Floriana Granaries was announced on Friday, to the approval of thousands of Robbie-holics who were overjoyed at the idea of having such a big artist perform in Malta.

As of 1PM on Monday, exactly one hour after tickets went live, queues reached as much as 11,300, with estimated waiting times of 45 minutes to secure a 10-minute slot to be able to book tickets.

ĠENN was the first-ever band to represent Malta at this prestigious showcase festival. The festival has been instrumental in breaking acts like Dua Lipa, Bastille and Mø and puts a spotlight on artists from all over Europe.

Maltese star athlete Claire Azzopardi has just broken the triple jump national record following a year of absence from the event. 

Azzopardi is no stranger to breaking records and bagging awards for her athleticism, and her most recent venture in the London Indoor Games in Lee Valley saw her achieve yet another milestone. 

Having focused on the long jump for the past two years, she made a comeback to the triple jump by improving by 16 centimetres on the previously established record.
