Trevor has officially broken the ‘Come Dine With Me Malta’ record, scoring an impressive 36 points,  the highest total of the season so far.

His carefully curated dinner and smooth hosting clearly impressed his fellow contestants, putting him just ahead of last week’s winner Alison who won with 35 points and week one’s Molly who won with 30 points.

But with one final host left to compete tonight, the pressure’s on. Can Sylvana pull off a perfect evening and steal the win at the last minute or will Trevor’s record breaking score hold strong?

Jamie Carragher couldn’t hide his pride as he spoke about his son James’ international debut for Malta during Champions League coverage this week.

Asked how he spent the international break, Carragher smiled, “There’s the big fella,” as footage showed him and his dad supporting from the stands.

When asked if James likes having him at games, Carragher laughed, “I don’t think he’s got a choice, Team Carragher is on the march to Malta and all over Europe!”

Jamie rated his son’s debut highly: “I’d give him 7 out of 10 for his first game and 8 out of 10 against Poland, considering the opposition”.

Carragher said they had “a brilliant little trip” and shared that the Carragher clan will be heading back to Malta in June.

MAM Warns Of Dangerous Synthetic Edibles After Spike In Hospital Cases

MAM Warns Of Dangerous Synthetic Edibles After Spike In Hospital Cases
Apr 10 2025 Share

The Medical Association of Malta (MAM) has called for urgent government action following the hospitalisation of seven people in the past five days after consuming cannabis edibles containing synthetic cannabinoids, including the compound CC9.

Patients experienced severe and prolonged symptoms such as vision issues, excessive drowsiness, vomiting and liver damage. MAM Vice President Dr. Jeffrey Bonnici confirmed some had consumed edibles containing CC9, a potent semi-synthetic cannabinoid, based on packaging shown to doctors.

“These products are dangerous, unregulated and misleadingly labelled as ‘not for human consumption’ while clearly intended for it,” MAM said, warning that they bypass EU safety standards and pose serious health risks.

The association stressed that these edibles can have much longer-lasting and unpredictable effects than natural cannabis, increasing the risk of overdose and mental health complications.

ReLeaf Malta also condemned the spread of these “fake cannabinoids”, urging authorities to remove them from the market. The NGO said it has repeatedly called for action since 2022 but has been ignored.

MAM is urging the government to pull these products from sale and hold sellers accountable.
