Traditional Maltese Cuisine 4th Most Popular In Local Catering

According to a research and economic study about the catering establishments in Malta, 41% of establishments were found to serve Mediterranean cuisine.
The study, which covers the period between January and June 2025 and conducted by Prof. Vincent Marmara with the Association of Catering Establishments (ACE), also found that 15.7% of restaurants serve Traditional Maltese cuisine.
Meanwhile, the second and third most popular cuisines were ‘Pizza or Pasta’ at 20.7% and ‘Cafe or Bar’ at 19.6%. This places Traditional Maltese at fourth most popular.
Among the least popular were Indian, Lebanese and Sushi cuisine.
