Three distinguished Maltese artists,Josette Fenech, Antonio Mifsud, and Rosette Bonello, are proudly representing Malta at the ninth edition of Stati d’Arte 2025, an international contemporary art festival held at the historic Villa Fidelia in Spello, Italy.

The festival officially opened to the public on Saturday, 26th July at 9:00PM, bringing together artists from various countries, cultures, and creative disciplines.

This year’s edition of Stati d’Arte features several new additions, including a tribute exhibition to the late Bruno Orfei and an expanded pavilion in the historic centre of Spello.

The event is held under the High Patronage of the European Parliament, with support from various regional, national, and international institutions — including the Embassy of Malta in Italy, as Malta has been named the Country of Honour for the 2025 edition.

Present for the opening were Malta’s Ambassador to Italy, H.E. Daniel Azzopardi, Dr. Nikki Petroni from Arts Council Malta, and Maltese MP Robert Cutajar, all there to support the participating Maltese artists.

Their presence underscored Malta’s continued commitment to cultural diplomacy and international artistic collaboration. The festival runs through the summer in the beautifully restored Villa Fidelia.
