Fans have noticed its absence on the YouTube channel, despite other Games coverage before and after the ceremony still being available. In contrast, full-length videos of previous opening ceremonies, including London 2012, Rio 2016, Beijing 2022, and Nagano 1998, remain online.

Social media users highlighted the video’s removal by sharing a screenshot showing a blank screen with the message “this video is not available.” The Olympics and Paris 2024 organizers have not provided any explanation for this omission and have yet to respond to requests for comment.

The Paris 2024 opening ceremony faced severe criticism, with many calling it the “worst ever.” The event, marred by poor weather, featured artistic tableaus inspired by French values like freedom, fraternity, and equality. However, it was the “festivité” scene, resembling the Last Supper, that sparked the most controversy.
