A recent Parliamentary Question has revealed that there are currently 128,313 families living across Malta and Gozo.

The data was provided by Minister for Health and Active Ageing Jo Etienne Abela, following a request by Nationalist MP Graziella Galea.

According to the figures, the five most family-populated localities are St. Paul’s Bay (6,634), Birkirkara (6,424), Mosta (6,215), Ħaż-Żabbar (4,758), and Ħal Qormi (4,674).

On the opposite end, the least populated in terms of families are L-Imdina (39), L-Għasri (131), San Lawrenz (190), Il-Fontana (254), and Il-Munxar (399).

When grouped by district, the Northern Harbour District leads with 35,580 families, followed by the Northern District (22,911), Southern Harbour District (21,662), South Eastern District (20,603), Western District (17,720), and Gozo and Comino (9,837).
