There Are 141 Persons On Malta’ Sex Offenders Register

According to information tabled in parliament by Minister for Justice and Construction Sector Reform Jonathan Attard, there are 141 persons listed on Malta’s Sex Offenders Register.
Of these, 139 are men whereas only 2 are women.
Responding to a parliamentary question by PN MP Graziella Attard Previ, the Minister said that the average age is 41 years, with the youngest being 20 years old and the oldest being 78.
‘The process with which an agency that works with kids checks whether the person is on the register or not takes around a month’, the Minister explained.’
