The Travellers Return With New Maltese Single ‘Ġmiel’

Just in time for the peak of summer, The Travellers are back with their latest single, “Ġmiel”, a Maltese track that delivers the full summer experience.

Following their April release of “Dawn il-Widien,” “Ġmiel” marks the band’s second single this year, building momentum ahead of their 10th anniversary in 2026.

Known for embracing the Maltese language in their lyrics, The Travellers continue to carve a space for vibrant, island-rooted music that’s both heartfelt and radio-ready.

Fans who caught them at Beerfest and other summer shows might already recognise the hook as the band has been teasing “Ġmiel” live with roaring crowd approval.

”‘Ġmiel’ is that moment when someone walks into a room and changes the energy completely. We wanted to capture the spark you feel before you’ve even said a word”, said Chris Gatt, lead singer of the band.

Directed by Gary Bugeja and filmed by Victor Abela, the video strikes a warm, feel-good tone, like someone’s favourite summer memory, slightly faded around the edges but vivid at the core.
