Nationalist Party & Opposition leader Bernard Grech has stated that the PN will offer a strong challenge during the next general election. This comes after a recent survey revealed that the Labour Party received year-high support with 45.9% against the Nationalist Party’s 31.9%.

Grech made the claim during a Nationalist Party fundraising marathon on NET TV, expressing his confidence in the people’s support of the party in an attempt to make Malta a better country. The PN leader went on to explain that, despite there being challenges, the party’s intentions are good and they offer a strong challenge if the people of Malta want to choose a fitting alternative.

Later during the event, Grech called on the government to extend Malta’s COVID-19 wage supplement for restaurants and hotels to next March in light of a recent drop in bookings.

Do you think that the PN offers a strong challenge in the next election?

Just yesterday, President Vella was name-dropped on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon in a monologue about U.S. President Joe Biden’s recent discussion with several European leaders ahead of his communication with Russian president Vladimir Putin.

The bit involved a number of European leaders such as UK PM Boris Johnson, Irish president Michael D. Higgins and our very own President George Vella, who Fallon jokingly stated said that “The rare caterpillars that live on [his] face say good luck.”
