‘Ted Lasso’ Star Brett Goldstein Rumoured To Be Cast As Next ‘Hagrid’

Anticipation for HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series continues to build as casting picks up pace for the ambitious decade-long project.
Among the rumoured names are Mark Rylance as Dumbledore, Paapa Essiedu as Snape, Sharon Horgan as McGonagall, and Brett Goldstein as Hagrid.
The series, which will feature a younger cast compared to the original films, is slated to begin filming at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden and aims for a 2027 release.
It has been a meteoric rise to fame for Goldstein, going from humble comedy writer to Hollywood A-lister after starring in ‘Ted Lasso’ as footballer Roy Kent.
