Following the unfortunate turn of events at the Centenary Stadium yesterday, between Hamrun Spartans and Macabi Haifa, the social media posts uploaded to Hamrun Spartans’ Instagram was riddled with insults following the 4-0 victory by the away team.

Despite a massive altercation breaking out during the second half, the Macabi Haifa team still managed to score 4 goals, to the protest of Maltese supporters who argued that the game should have ended prematurely.

Taking to the posts’ comments section, many Haifa fans left taunting messages, with some saying ‘f*ck Malta and Hamrun’ or ‘f*ck hamron 44444’.

Another said ‘f*ck u Malta’, with others commenting emojis of Israel’s flag, green hearts (due to the colour scheme of the team), clown emojis and even middle fingers.

Others said ‘Malta belongs to Italy’, whereas others simply showed support to Maccabi. This comes after security concerns were raised following the fight that broke out between fans of the two teams, leading to police having to intervene in the mess.

Many asked whether it was a good idea to split the supporters with the use of just barriers whereas others questioned how the Haifa supporters were able to bring in flares into the stadium.

The latter was found more concerning given how the Maltese supporters are always checked during the whole season and why this was not done on the away fans.

Maltese football fans are thus calling for further security during such high end games in order to avoid further tragedy.

The area that was attacked during the match was the VIP area, which usually seats children along with family members of the players, media and press as well as elderly persons.

Some supporters are also arguing against the fact that the game should not have kept going and that Hamrun Spartans should have been awarded the win.

Burger King Thailand Release 20 Cheese Slice Burger

Burger King Thailand Release 20 Cheese Slice Burger

Depending on whether you love cheese or hate it, this could be heaven or a nightmare for you.

On Sunday, Thailand’s Burger King launched the ‘real cheeseburger’, a patty-less sandwich which makes up for the meatless-ness with 20 slices of processed American cheese.

That’s it – just cheese and two buns. No other ingredients like lettuce, tomato, pickles, sauces… nothing. Just cheese.

The menu item is apparently part of a trend in Thailand where cheese is placed on literally everything, and the burger quickly gained vitality on social media for its bizarre serving status.

Posting on social media, Burger King Thailand wrote that ‘this is for real! Real cheeseburger from Burger King! Carrying up to 20 slices of American cheese!!! Price is 109 only (from normal 380).’

Would you try something like this?
