The sudden death of a Tallinja driver by the name of Marvin Belmonte Briones shocked the entire island as tributes poured in for the driver.

Tallinja took to social media to say that they are ‘very saddened by the news that our colleague Marvin Belmonte Briones passed away this morning. Marvin had been working as a bus driver with Malta Public Transport for almost 4 years, and will be missed by all.’

You can now jump into a pool filled with red wine

Jul 11 2022 Share

Red wine is mostly known as a drink that people take on the dinner table or after a hard day on the sofa, however the Yunessun Spa Resort in Japan has given a whole new meaning to the drink. In the ‘spa theme park’ there are many giant hot tubs filled not only with the famous alcohol but also with other beverages such as coffee, sake and green tea.

According to the spa’s founders submerging oneself into red wine offers many benefits such as total relaxation and keeping the skin looking younger than ever. This can also be referred to as ‘vinotherapy’ and was also said to be used by the historical Egyptian Queen Cleopatra as one of her many techniques in her  beauty rituals. Drinking the red wine from the tub is not allowed, however glasses of the drink can be poured from a massive 12-foot bottle found in the resort.

Apparently the other tubs filled with green tea and coffee also come with their benefits. According to the resort’s website the green tea hot spring pool helps to not only improve circulation but also improve the appearance of the skin whilst the coarse coffee pool is said to help  ‘reduce fatigue and beautify skin’ due to it’s healing aromas.

The unusual resort not only includes hot tubs and pools but also attractions for thrill seekers such as the Rodeo Mountain slides and the Aegean Sea of Gods pool, which normally showcases an illuminated fountain show alongside bubbles and music.
