Swimming Warning Issued For Wilga Street, St Julian’s

Environmental Health Directorate, within the Superintendence of Public Health, has issued a precautionary notice advising the public not to bathe in the area off Wilga Street, St Julian’s (Site Code: B05 Wilga) due to an overflow of foul water emerging from beneath the rocks.

Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) are currently investigating the source of the contamination, although the duration of the issue remains unknown at this stage.

Warning signs have been placed at the site to inform the public and will be removed once the water quality is confirmed to be safe.
