Speaking at the announcement, President Emeritus Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, on behalf of the Malta Trust Foundation, praised the initiative, “The launch of this book is a celebration of courage, creativity, and resilience from young people who have faced mental health challenges and chosen to share their journey through poetry and art. Initiatives like this help break the stigma surrounding mental health and show that everyone has the potential to reach their aspirations.

The Malta Trust Foundation is proud to collaborate with the Ministry for Gozo and Planning on key initiatives that place dignity, empathy, and inclusion at the heart of what we do.”

The evening will feature live poetry readings and a variety of artistic performances, showing how creative expression can foster healing, communication, and human connection.

Minister Clint Camilleri also reiterated the government’s ongoing commitment to addressing mental health stigma and commended the initiative for raising awareness, “As a government, we must continue to send a clear message that support is available, and no one should suffer in silence. We’ve already taken steps with projects like Dar il-Kantuniera.
