St Paul’s Bay With Most Property Sale Deeds In June 2025

In June 2025, a total of 999 final deeds of sale and 1,107 promise of sale agreements relating to residential property were registered, according to provisional data based on registrations with the tax authority.

This marks a 2.7% increase in final deeds and a 2.5% rise in promise of sale agreements when compared to June 2024.

The value of the final deeds amounted to €297.3 million, an increase of 19.7% year-on-year. Of these, 882 deeds (88.3%) involved individual buyers, whose transactions totalled €224.8 million or 75.6% of the total value.

The majority of activity was seen in the Northern Harbour and Northern districts, with 283 and 191 deeds respectively. In contrast, the Western and Gozo and Comino districts recorded the lowest figures.

Localities with the highest number of final deeds included San Pawl Il-Baħar (60), Mosta (55), and Birkirkara (52), together accounting for 16.7% of the total.

In terms of property type, 1,114 residential units changed hands, with apartments (413) and garages (263) making up the largest share.

For promise of sale agreements, households were involved in 990 of the 1,107 agreements.

The Northern Harbour district again led with 336 agreements, followed by the Northern district with 192. San Pawl Il-Baħar, Birkirkara, and Marsaskala recorded the highest numbers, making up 18.6% of all agreements in June 2025.
