The Maltese futsal championships continued with another action-packed week, showcasing tension, drama, and standout performances in both the men’s and women’s leagues.

In the women’s division, leaders Zero Sei Futsal dropped their first points of the season after a thrilling 2–2 draw against Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus, with Jasmine Vella Turner scoring both goals for Luxol. Despite the setback, Zero Sei remain top with 13 points. Meanwhile, Swieqi United Futsal LEC07 secured a 5–3 victory over Parr Mela Rockets Futsal, who are still searching for their first points. St George’s Futsal cruised past St Andrews Futsal with a 4–0 win, cementing their place among the top contenders. After the first round, Luxol and St George’s trail the leaders with 10 points each.

The men’s league delivered high drama as Santa Venera Lightnings Futsal earned their first point in a 3–3 draw against Sliema Futsal Fort Fitness, thanks to a last-second equaliser from Colombian star Jimenez Martinez Jonathan Jose. At the top, GŻR Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s Futsal joined University of Malta Futsal on 12 points after a commanding 5–0 win over Futsal Selection U19. Luxol St. Andrews Futsal edged Marsaskala Futsal Legends 3–2 in a nail-biter, while Żejtun Corinthians Futsal WA dominated Futsal Selection U17 10–5, with Abuaisha Nezar Fawzi netting a hat-trick.

After Matchweek 5, University of Malta and Birżebbuġa share the summit with 12 points, followed by Luxol, Marsaskala, and Żejtun on 9 points. Sliema sit sixth with 4 points, while Santa Venera celebrate their first point. Both U19 and U17 selections remain winless.
