Zea Montfort makes Maltese history at Junior Worlds

Zea Montfort has written her name into Maltese sporting history after securing a stunning 10th‑place finish in the Women’s Solo Technical event at the Junior World Championships — a landmark result achieved against athletes from 27 countries across the globe.

Her performance marks one of Malta’s highest-ever placements at this level, underscoring the nation’s rapid progress in artistic swimming on the international stage. Montfort delivered a composed and technically refined routine, earning praise for her precision, musical interpretation and competitive maturity well beyond her years.
