ZACH VELLA EMBARKS ON 2,700KM RUN FROM LONDON TO MALTA FOR YMCA MALTA

On 22nd March, Zach Vella will set off from London on an extraordinary 2,700km journey to Malta, the equivalent of 55 ultra marathons in just seven weeks.

The challenge, titled Miles From Home, will take Zach across England, France, Switzerland and Italy in a relentless test of physical and mental endurance.

Day after day on the road, he will face long distances, changing terrain and minimal room for error. It will be exhausting and, at times, deeply uncomfortable, but it is all for a cause far greater than the miles themselves.

Zach’s goal is to raise €100,000 in support of YMCA Malta. The funds will help expand the Drop-In Centre and develop a new Stage 2 Semi-Independent Living Apartment. Currently, only one in four housing applicants are accepted, leaving many vulnerable individuals without shelter or support.

Through this challenge, Zach hopes to help rebuild facilities and create a new home for six residents.
