The MFPA Awards placed the spotlight firmly on the future of Maltese football, with Yulya Carella of Mġarr United and Jake Azzopardi of Valletta earning the prestigious Best Young Player titles in the women’s and men’s categories. Carella’s composure and influence in midfield have made her one of the most exciting emerging talents in the women’s game, while Azzopardi’s rapid development and consistency underline his growing importance to Valletta’s long‑term ambitions.

Beyond the youth accolades, the MFPA also recognised the top performers across Malta’s senior divisions. Olu Awosanya was named Best Challenge League Player after a dominant season that showcased his physical presence and reliability. In the amateur tiers, Precious Nwankwo claimed the Best Amateur League I Player award, while Ryan Dalli secured the Amateur League II honour, both rewarded for their leadership and decisive contributions.
