Young Maltese talent Enzo Romao selected for SC Braga trial

Fourteen‑year‑old Enzo De Freitas Romao, one of Malta’s brightest emerging footballers, has been selected for a trial with Portuguese giants SC Braga, becoming the second Maltese youngster to receive such an invitation. Represented by the International Sports Agency, Romao travelled to Portugal in recent days, where he trained within Braga’s elite youth structure.

Romao, currently part of the Mosta Nursery setup and a Malta U15 international, has been steadily rising through the ranks thanks to his technical ability, pace and versatility across the forward line. His performances at youth level including scoring for Malta in a UEFA Development Tournament have drawn attention from scouts abroad.

Born on 8 June 2011, Romao is widely regarded as one of the most promising players of his age group. His trial with Braga marks a significant milestone not only for his personal development but also for Maltese youth football, highlighting the growing recognition of local talent on the international stage.
