Earlier this season, Cini announced his decision to start the season without a club, sharing that he doesn't know whether this is "a goodbye to playing football or a see you later," while also sharing that he "accepted the role of MFA Hubs Goalkeepers Coach."
After the Malta Football Association announced the final 18-man squad for the competition, Cini announced that he will be involved as part of the coaching staff, with the experienced goalkeeper set to increase his coaching experience on such prestigious occasions.
