Warren Muscat and Edith Degabriele represent Malta at the 2026 Europe Triathlon Congress in Bucharest

Malta Triathlon Federation General Secretary, Warren Muscat, and World Triathlon Technical Official, Edith Degabriele, represented Malta at the 2026 Europe Triathlon Congress held in Bucharest.
Their participation focused on strengthening Malta’s presence within the European triathlon community and contributing to key discussions on the sport’s development across member federations.
Throughout the congress, delegates attended a series of sessions addressing governance, athlete development pathways, event standards, and strategic planning for the upcoming Olympic cycle. Their involvement ensured that Malta’s perspectives were represented in important decision-making processes and collaborative initiatives.
The congress also provided valuable networking opportunities with federation leaders, facilitating the exchange of best practices and the exploration of partnerships aimed at further developing triathlon in Malta.
The Europe Triathlon Congress serves as a key platform for bidding and lobbying to host international events. During this year’s edition, it was confirmed that Malta will host a World Triathlon Technical Official Level 1 Course and a World Triathlon Level 1 Course in 2026, alongside other international events in the coming years.
The Malta Triathlon Federation extends its sincere thanks to SportMalta for its support, which made participation in this congress possible.
