Valletta SC Win FISTF German Grand Prix 2026

The Valletta Subbuteo Club won the Team event at the Grand Prix of Ludwigsburg in Germany, beating Bormla Subbuteo Club 2-1 in the final.

Both Maltese clubs had a very good tournament, reaching the final with convincing results, only dropping one point in the group phase but still managing to win their groups. In the semi finals, Valletta SC won against Subbuteo Club Lion's Eugies (BEL) 4-0, while Bormla SC won against ST Stembert (BEL) 2-1.

In the Open Category, George Ebejer (Bormla SC) reached the semi final, where he lost against the eventual winner C.Dheur (BEL). To reach the semi final, George won his group & then in the Last 16 he won against Geoffrey Marain (BEL) 4-2 & in the Last 8 he won against Jerome Heyvaert (BEL) 2-0. Josef Camilleri (Bormla SC) reached the Last 16, after finishing second in his group & also being eliminated by C.Dheur.

In the Veteran Category, Charles Aquilina (Bormla SC) reached the final but lost to D.Scheen (BEL) 4-3. Charles Aquilina had a very good run, where he won his group & went on to reach the semi final, where he eliminated D.Busch (AUT) on shots, after a 1-1 draw. John Zammit won his group & reached the semifinal, only to lose against D.Scheen 3-2. Jason Pisani also won his group but was eliminated by D.Busch in the Last 8.
