Valletta FC Sign Portuguese Forward Diogo Tavares

Valletta FC have announced the signing of Portuguese attacker Diogo Tavares as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the second part of the season.
The 27-year-old is no stranger to Maltese football, having featured prominently for Żabbar SP last season. Tavares played a key role in helping the club secure Malta Premier League survival in their debut campaign at the top level, making 32 appearances and scoring 10 goals.
Following his stint in Malta, Tavares returned to Portugal during the summer, where he represented Sporting João Ver, registering 11 appearances before completing his move back to the Maltese Premier League.
Confirming the signing, Valletta FC described Tavares as a dynamic attacking addition. The Lilywhites highlighted his explosive pace, quick footwork and attacking mentality, noting that he is a versatile, two-footed player capable of operating in several offensive roles.
Known for his fearless approach, sharp vision and desire to make an impact, Tavares is expected to add creativity and penetration to Valletta’s attack as the club looks to strengthen its offensive threat.
