Valletta FC retain Diogo Tavares and Sava Radic for 2026/27 season

Valletta FC have strengthened their plans for the 2026/27 season by confirming that both Diogo Tavares and Sava Radic will remain with the Capital City Club, securing two influential figures who played important roles in last season’s resurgence.

Tavares, who arrived in January, quickly became an integral presence in the dressing room. His professionalism, technical quality and ability to add depth during a decisive phase of the campaign earned him strong admiration within the squad. Valletta described the renewal as a natural fit “some pieces simply belong together” reflecting the impact he made in a short time.

At the back, Radic’s confirmation is equally significant. A dominant and consistent performer, he was one of the standout figures in Valletta’s domestic double‑winning season, offering leadership, physical presence and reliability whenever the team needed stability.
