Valletta FC Face 1-3 Defeat In First European Leg Against Raków Częstochowa

Valletta FC left Poland with a two goal deficit after Raków Częstochowa managed to turn the game around to secure a 3-1 victory in the first leg of this UEFA Conference League tie.
Valletta opened the score in the first half after new signing Manuel Morelo fired home to give the whites the lead, with the boys heading into the break with a one goal advantage.
After the hosts equaised in the second half, Valletta were awarded a penalty and a chance to restore their lead, but Petar Sekulović missed from the spot.
The hosts punished Valletta with two more goals, as the Maltese Cup champions head into next week's second leg with a two goal deficit.
The return leg will be played on Thursday 30th July at 19:30 at the Centenary Stadium in Ta' Qali, with Valletta eager to bounce back and secure qualification after this defeat.
