Valletta face Sliema Wanderers in highly anticipated Premier League clash

Valletta will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the VBET Malta Premier standings when they face traditional rivals Sliema Wanderers this afternoon at the Tony Bezzina Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 3:30pm.

The Citizens enter the encounter in excellent form, having collected 16 points from seven matches. Consecutive victories over Birkirkara and Birżebbuġa St Peter’s have strengthened their position at the summit.

Sliema, meanwhile, occupy sixth place with 11 points and will be determined to close the gap on the leaders. The Wanderers are unbeaten in their last five league outings, although their previous two encounters ended in draws.

Recent history favours Sliema, who have won three of the last five meetings between the sides, with the remaining two ending level.

With Valletta seeking to maintain their title challenge and Sliema aiming to strengthen their top-six ambitions, another fiercely contested encounter is expected between these historic rivals.
