The men’s futsal championship delivered plenty of drama this week, with the University of Malta Futsal consolidating their lead at the summit following a resounding 12-2 victory over Żejtun Corinthians Futsal WA. The win not only strengthened their position but also denied Żejtun the chance to climb closer to the top spots.

Elsewhere, Futsal Selection U19 celebrated their first points of the season, defeating Futsal Selection U17 4-0. The U17 side remain the only team yet to register a point, highlighting the challenges they continue to face in the competition.

The standout performance of the week came from Marsaskala Futsal Legends, who overcame GZR Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s Futsal 7-4. Karl Luke Schembri was the star of the show, netting six goals to propel Marsaskala level with Birżebbuġa in second place. Despite the tie, Birżebbuġa hold a game in hand, leaving both sides three points adrift of the University of Malta.

The current standings reflect a tightly contested championship: University of Malta lead with 15 points, followed by Birżebbuġa and Marsaskala on 12. Luxol St. Andrews and Żejtun trail with 9 points each, while Sliema, U19, Santa Venera, and U17 round out the table.
