Tough Afternoon for Malta U15 as Bulgaria Claim Comfortable Win

The Malta U15 National Team endured a challenging evening at the Centenary Stadium, falling 4-0 to Bulgaria in the first of two scheduled international friendlies. The visitors showed their strength early on, applying consistent pressure and converting their chances with precision.
Malta worked hard to stay compact defensively, particularly in the opening stages, but Bulgaria’s pace and physical presence gradually tilted the match in their favour. Despite the scoreline, the Maltese youngsters displayed commendable effort, attempting to build play from the back and push forward whenever opportunities arose.
As the match progressed, Bulgaria continued to dictate possession and added further goals to secure a convincing victory. For Malta, the fixture served as an important learning experience, offering valuable exposure against a well-drilled opponent.
Both teams will meet again on Friday, 10th April, giving the Maltese squad a timely chance to regroup, adjust, and show improvement in the second friendly.
