Top Danish Coach Allan Heine to Lead Advanced Handball Sessions in Malta

The Malta Handball Association has announced that distinguished Danish coach Allan Heine, Head of Youth Coaching & Academy at Aalborg Håndbold and a recognised European Handball Federation (EHF) expert, will visit Malta from 16 to 18 January to deliver specialised sessions as part of the Association’s Level 2 Coaching Course.
Although Heine’s primary role will be lecturing course participants, his sessions will also be open to other interested coaches. Registration is available online at: https://bit.ly/allan-heine-coaching..
The Level 2 course forms part of a wider coach education programme featuring modules led by EHF experts, the Association’s Technical Director, and experienced Maltese coaches. Developed within the framework of the EHF Master Plan, the programme aims to strengthen the technical, tactical, and managerial competencies required for advanced coaching.
Interest in the course has been strong, with both local and foreign coaches registering, reflecting growing demand for structured, high‑level coaching pathways in Malta. The initiative is also aligned with the newly launched National Coaching Licence, which has similarly attracted significant participation.
MHA President Daniel Tabone said the response highlights coaches’ commitment to continuous development within an internationally recognised system. He emphasised that hosting a figure of Heine’s calibre marks an important step in elevating coaching standards and supporting the long‑term growth of Maltese handball.
